Our Home 4 years ago Small Home Decor Businesses to Shop This Holiday
When it comes to home decor finds, the smaller the business the better.
There’s no greater feeling than finding a unique treasure that was hand-made by a talented ceramicist, or a piece of art that someone created while living in Provence {see both below!}.
Because today is Small Business Saturday, and you guys loved our Fashion Small Businesses round up so much, today I’m breaking down a few rooms in my house to share sources of small businesses you can support this holiday in the home decor category.
Please leave a comment below to share a Home Decor Small Businesses! I love finding new places to shop.
deKor Living
I cannot begin to tell you how many questions we get about our sofa that was custom made by a local interior design store, deKor Living. I love this store because you can easily discover unique treasures for the home.
Atelier Vime
Get lost on this Instagram feed and you will be immediately transported to the depths of France style. Atelier Vime pieces are exquisite and this lamp is one of my all time favorite pieces in the house.
Nickey Kehoe
When any design buff is visiting Los Angeles I always point them in the direction of the Nickey Kehoe store. I am clearly a fan girl. We have their hassocks, their art, their little accessories and pieces all throughout our home.
Stellar Works
This breakfast nook dining table doesn’t feel like your ordinary “wood table” thanks to the unique detail. It’s by Stellar Works and their website dives deep into paying extra special attention to details.
Jamie Beck
You guys know I am the biggest fan of all things Jamie Beck. Her artwork is shown here, in our kitchen, and we have a big piece above our mantel (see below). I love everything about her impressive creations. She is also a wonderful follow on Instagram to watch what goes on behind the scenes as she creates each masterpiece.
Sheldon Ceramics
I have a fascination for ceramicists. Sheldon Ceramics creates truly incredible pieces that you will treasure for a lifetime to come.
MarchSF
I. love. MarchSF. It’s all I can really say for this one stop shop for all things interior decor. You will love it too. I promise.
Lind + Almond
Sometimes getting a unique piece in your home requires a unique shopping experience. We purchased our bed from a small business in Newcastle and had it shipped in a crater. It was quite the process but it’s now one of the most treasured items in the house. Lind + Almond
Fferrone Design Glasses
I get an incredible amount of inquiries about our glasses from Fferrone. I discovered this brand nearly four years ago and I’ve been a fan girl ever since.
Katy Skeleton
Another popular piece that you guys inquire about in our home are the sconces by our bed by Katy Skeleton. I love that Katy Skeleton pieces are designed with social responsibility in mind.
Jayson Home
I first discovered Jayson Home when I lived in Chicago for 6 years (geeze, that was 12 years ago!) and I’ve been a fan girl ever since. The table in my “pamper room” is from Jayson Home and I love having a little slice of sweet home Chicago with me in my home.
John Derian
John Derian was introduced to me by Martha Mulholland and I am a new fan. I absolutely love how unique his pieces are and I have been stalking him ever since. The pillows above are from him and I’m slowly starting to collect more and more.
Jenni Kayne
I have a love hate relationship for Jenni Kayne. I only say “hate” because I want EVERYTHING she does (ha!). The clothing, the shoes, the accessories, the home decor. I simply cannot and will not get enough!
Amber Interiors
Anyone who loves interior decor knows and loves Amber Interiors. She is the queen of home decor and the chair I have in my pamper room is hands down my favorite in the house. It makes me so happy!
Matteo Bedding
This small businesses located in Los Angeles makes the most luxurious, yet affordable, bedding and linens. I love visiting the Matteo Bedding factory downtown to get the full experience. Warning: their products are addicting!
Lucy Michel
Lucy is a dear friend of ours and the most amazing person and talented ceramicist. I’m not just saying this because we know her, but she is one of a kind. Her work is featured in Nickey Kehoe, Vogue, Elle Decor and so much more.
Creative Women Textiles
I love these hand towels that support women owned business and fair trade textiles. Creative Women Textiles was introduced to me by Martha Mulholland and I’m officially a fan girl.
