We had an extra bonus room just off the master bathroom that we nicknamed the “Pamper Room”.
Little did we know the nickname would stick and we’d make jokes every time we were in the room about how it was purely a space for me to pretend I’m a lady of leisure. Perhaps we should have made this room an additional closet space, but the beautiful windows let in so much natural light that idea of closing it off felt wrong. We were also toward the end of our budget for the master bathroom and closet redesign, so we worked with Martha Mulholland to build a feminine space that would marry into the historic elements of the home.
The space sits just opposite of the master bathroom and the hallway that my vanity sits in connects the two rooms. I actually spend quite a bit of time in this room. It’s where I sometimes enjoy coffee and, more frequently as of late, do my workouts and pilates classes in. I actually moved all of my workout weights and gear into one of the drawers because this room is a perfect retreat for me to squeeze in an online streaming class.
