I’m in Paris for fashion week and I’m stepping a bit outside of my comfort zone today with a print on print look that I scored from Net-a-Porter.
Mixing this coat and dress together wasn’t the plan, but when they arrived in the mail it just felt right. I always get nervous mixing patterns but I’ve found that the key is to have at least one color in common. In this case, the blue checked coat brings out the blue flowers on my dress – voila!
While this coat wasn't quite warm enough to beat the snow, it's a perfect lighter layer to transition into spring. It's perfect for the weather in Los Angeles!
Shop NowI love, love, love this dress so much that I'm going to purchase and keep her. At first I thought it'd be a little too loud but once I put her on I couldn't stop wearing it.
Shop NowSpecial thank you to Net-a-Porter for lending me sweet styles fo Paris fashion week.
I always get slightly intimidated when I come to Paris fashion week. Bloggers, editors and style mavens really step up their style game with wild prints and mixing trends. While my style is a bit more monochromatic and simple, I always try to think outside of the box a bit when I’m at a fashion week. As uneasy as it feels, it is also fun to play dress up and wear things that I may not otherwise be given the opportunity to. I say why not!?
Are you following along? What types of posts do you want to see from Paris?
Special thank you to Ylenia for the beautiful photos.
