A few weeks ago we took our first vacation as a family to Turks & Caicos and it was nothing short of fan-tas-tic!
I’d never been to Turks & Caicos but I had been dreaming {hard} of white sands, clear sunny skies and baking in the sun and the incredible people at Amanyara hosted us for our stay. After staying at the Aman in Utah & Marakesh, I made it my life goal to stay at all of the Aman properties. Okay, so maybe it’s more of a pipe dream than a goal but a girl can dream, right?
Like all of the Aman Resorts, the Amanyara was like walking in a wonderland. Everything, from the lovely staff to the mouth watering food, was the best of the best. The property is nestled into a remote area on the island that feels like you’ve discovered a private beach made just for you. This was definitely the most beautiful beach I’ve ever stepped foot on.
The second we stepped foot on the beach I immediately ran to the water. It’s begging to be swam in. The ocean was crystal clear and the perfect temperature.
The hotel has a cute little bar hut right on the beach that quickly made it’s way to our top 3 beach bars in the world. You didn’t have to get up from your beach chair for a drink, but we loved taking a little time out from the sun to catch up with the witty bartender.
One night the hotel surprised us with a private dinner for 3. We had our own beautiful table set up for sunset cocktails and a delicious dinner of our choosing. We opted for sushi and it was hands down the best sashimi I’ve ever had!
Our beach front villa had the best views ever and we could walk straight down to our own private cove. I took the above photo just outside of our room. I love how every view from the hotel offers a different type of perspective and beach. On our end the beach was rocky and cliff-like but on the other side you discovered white sand beaches.
Just when I thought the Amanyara couldn’t get better, I got a facial at their spa. WOW! This part of my trip sold me on the idea of bringing my girlfriends back for a wellness retreat. The spa really pulled at my heart strings. The facial was one of the most relaxing experiences ever. I also loved the product they used and learned that the Aman recently launched their own skincare line so you can take a little slice of heaven home with you.
My amazing job allows me to discover amazing places all around the world, but the Amanyara is an experience that stands out from the rest. I will never forget this incredible trip and cannot thank the generous team from Amanyara for hosting us on this once in a life time vacation.
