Outfits 6 years ago 3 Changes to my Morning Routine
A few weeks back I wrote about The Power of Consistency and a few changes I have made in my morning routine over the past month. The post received an amazing response from you guys. Not only did all of your sweet e-mails, comments and messages motivate me to write this second post, but it truly left a lasting impression on me to continue moving forward with my new morning ritual {thank you!}. After nearly 2 months of implementing new practices into my schedule, I recently made a few slight changes to my day that I thought I would share here:
- Some mornings I will go about my ritual in bed, however lately I’ve been very inspired to get moving! It’s so easy to get trapped in your mind and a very wise friend encouraged me to physically move to get out of my head. A few times a week I will wake up extra early just to sneak a run in before work, visit a new coffee shop and sit still or take a walk to grab breakfast at a café near my house.
- I was meditating for 5 minutes a day, which I still think is a strong commitment. However, after I picked up this book on “How to Meditate” it has take things to a whole new level for me. There really isn’t a “wrong” way to meditate, but this book helped me understand how I can go deeper. I’ve also been taking classes at The Den {obsessed}! I truly feel like a weight has been lifted off of my chest which allows me to be much more present throughout the day.
- Music. I don’t know when or why I stopped playing music in my home but the speakers are back on and I cannot tell you how big of a difference it’s played in my life. There’s a constant soundtrack blasting which is done wonderful things for my spirit.
