Do you ever wonder what your perfume says about your personality?
While I like to stick with perfumes based on the season, I also love to pick a perfume based upon my mood, what I’m doing, or where I’m going. If I’m going out on a date night, maybe I want to go for something a little more flirtatious. If I’m traveling, sometimes I’ll choose something more adventurous.
I think it’s fun to choose scents based on your mood. So here’s a fun guide to what your scent says about you.
Fruity & Citrusy
Fun, flirty, sweet. When I think fruity, I think tropical. I think sitting by the beach, sipping a cocktail, and chatting with my girlfriends. Citrusy fragrances are often paired with floral notes to create the ultimate sweet scent. A fruity scent says you’re fun, playful, and don’t take things too seriously.
Floral
You are sweet, there’s no two ways about it. Floral scents are warm and inviting. There is something so comforting about hugging someone with a rose or lavender scent. I also always seem to get the most compliments when I wear something with rose notes. It feels like a universal scent in a sense.
Spicy
You are a mystery. You play a little hard to get and have a fun edge about you. You may have a tough exterior, but deep down we all know you’re a total mush ball. No but in all seriousness, when I get a whiff of a spicy scent I am always intrigued. Spicy notes are often paired with warmer, more floral scents as well. If the perfume doesn’t have both these notes, try layering these perfumes for a greater depth and the perfect combo of sweet and spicy.
Woody
Woody scents are some of my favorites. Like a spicy scent, there is something mysterious about woody fragrances. They are earthy and grounded, just like you. They are rather unisex and can be sexy, without being overly feminine.
Fresh
You are cool, calm and collected. A fresh scent is anything but overpowering. It is mellow like the ocean, and simple yet beautiful. Understated, but not underwhelming.
