It still feels so surreal to me that I get to celebrate Mother’s Day this year!
What’s even better is that I am teaming up with a brand that I wore pre-pregnancy, during my pregnancy and now get to wear postpartum and it’s one of my favorite sleepwear brands of all time: Lunya. I honestly do not have enough good things to say about Lunya. I live in their joggers, shorts and robe which makes it hard to pick a favorite. An added bonus? Their products are made with the highest quality fibers {hello Organic Pima cotton!} and feel great against your skin. Any pieces from Lunya would make for the best Mother’s Day gift of all day {ahem, hint, hint}.
But it doesn’t just matter what you get for your special someone on Mother’s Day, it’s also important to put thought into how you spoil her.
Here are a few pointers on what every Mom really wants on Mother’s Day. I can actually say that now because, well you know, I’m a Mom!
Instead of doing the usual breakfast in bed trick, why not surprise her with a bath first thing in the morning. Light some candles, put on her favorite tunes and have a cup of coffee with muffins next to the tub for extra bonus points. You could even have a new Lunya robe waiting for her to open next to the tub! Of course, if you don’t have a bath tub then breakfast in bed always wins {we were only being silly!}.
If you are in doubt about what she really want to do on Mother’s Day, ask her! All I honestly want to do is curl up with my June and spend some nice quality time around the house doing hobbies I usually put off for work, such as gardening.
Print out a mini photo of the kiddos and stick it on the bathroom mirror or above the kitchen sink. It is certain to make her smile while she brushes her teeth getting ready. Brownie points? Have the kids write a note on the mirror using a dry erase marker.
Mom’s are constantly in charge of who eats what and when. Take the stress off her day by pre-planning any and all meals for the entire family.
Make plans for a night out on the town just you two. After spending the day with the kiddos, it’ll be a nice surprise to have some quality time with just you two.
Do you have plans for Mother’s Day? What would be your ideal day?
Special thank you to our friends at Lunya for partnering on this post
