I’m all about living that sweater life for Thanksgiving. Now that it is officially November, it’s time to start thinking about what you want to wear if you’re traveling home or hosting a Friendsgiving this season. I recently got this adorable Fair Isle sweater and it got me looking up where the name came from. Did you know that Fair Isle is the most remote inhabited island in the United Kingdom? Fair Isle is a traditional knitting technique used to create patterns with multiple colours. It is named after Fair Isle, a tiny island in the north of Scotland, that forms part of the Shetland islands. Who knew! (not me!).
I’ve linked to a few favorite Fair Isle sweaters in this post!
When Autumn Cashmere sent me a few fall sweaters from their recent collection I was so excited, they have such great pieces! I absolutely adore this sweater for fall {and the upcoming holidays}.
Shop NowI really love the color tones in this tan and navy sweater. I think it would really pop with a pair of army green skinny jeans and brown loafers.
Shop NowIf you are feeling more festive and want to bust out some color, this carnival sweater is a cute option!
Shop NowThis one might be my favorite. A lighter toned fair isle will last you season after season. I have a similar one that I've had for 2 years!
Shop NowSomething about this sweater feels so collegiate and nerdy. I love it! Toss on a pair of jeans and a light jacket and you're good to go for post-turkey football.
Shop NowThis sweater feels like it can easily be dressed up or down for any holiday function from Thanksgiving to the Holiday season.
