Style Tips 6 years ago What Exactly Is Pre-Fall?
Summer just started and now we are being marketed to fall. Doesn’t it feel a little too soon?
In a literal sense, Pre-Fall includes designer collections are a bit more commercial than main season designer collections in effort to help shorten the wait time for next season. That way, if you are heading to chilly, fall climate come August you will have something to wear. But don’t let the misnomer fool you, there are plenty of summery pieces in Pre-Fall like this beautiful trench coat for a rainy day. The key work here is: “Pre”
Just like resort collections come just before spring/summer, Pre-Fall drops just before autumn/winter and I’ve teamed up with my friends at Nordstrom to share a few key reasons why you should get behind their newest designer Pre-Fall collections.
Reason #1: Don’t Take Life Too Seriously, You’ll Never Get Out Alive
Sometimes the seasons of fashion aren’t to be taken so seriously. Fashion and style is supposed to feel fun. Even if that means snapping some silly photos in a laundry mat because… well, why not?
Reason #2: Cue the Transitional Pieces
There are in-between days and weeks during the summer months where the days feel too hot and the nights feel too cold. This is when you can bust out those ribbed knits you are saving for fall. These pieces are going to be the ones you end up wearing the most and smart shoppers are always on the hunt for a good staple, no matter what season you call it.
Reason #3: You’ll Be Ahead of the Trend
There’s a reason why fashion insiders are always on top of the upcoming trends and it isn’t by following bloggers on Instagram. Anyone who is obsessed with fashion will keep a close eye on upcoming trends by watching what designers pop out in their pre-collections. It’s a quick glimpse into what you’ll be seeing more of in the future.
Reason #4: The Best of Bags
This is probably my favorite reason of all to love Pre-Fall and it’s all about scoring the best handbags of the season. There’s a reason why these hot bags sell out so quickly so it’s best to keep a close eye on what’s the latest and greatest. Here is a link to the one above that I recently scored.
Special thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post.
