This weekend was a complete whirlwind. On Thursday we drove up to Santa Ynez for my sister in laws wedding. It was probably the best wedding I’ve ever been to. There were hundreds of candles lining the middle of the tables in a beautiful barn that rest on Firestone Crossroads Estate. She had minimal florals which included olive leaves for the bridesmaids and branches hanging overhead with raw linens and vintage wooden tables. A New Orleans style marching band kicked off cocktail hour in style as the husband and wife marched back down the aisle to celebrate their nuptials with loved ones.
In case you didn’t know it, I used to be an editor for Style Me Pretty {ha!}. I have written about countless weddings and had the pleasure of looking at hundreds of photos of the most beautiful weddings to cross the web. I am not just saying this because she’s my sister in law, but this wedding was truly special.

My mother in law got a new Irish Wolfhound pup named Kona that I immediately fell in love with. Kona is less than a year old but is already so well behaved and has the cutest ear situation – one ear is pointed up and the other flops. A lot of people have been asking if we will get another dog after we lost William. I keep saying “no way” and my choice is firm, however Kona certainly pulled at my heart strings.
I have had this dress by Ganni since Paris Fashion week. It’s just been sitting in my closet waiting for the perfect occasion. I finally busted it out for the rehearsal dinner and figured I could style it with black tights and boots to bring out the tiny strip of black lace in the top.
New Years Day was crystal clear in Los Angeles with hardly any traffic. We went to have a nice lunch at one of my favorite Beverly Hills spots, South Beverly Grill. If you go you 100% must get the deviled eggs and cheeseburger – the sushi is really good too!
I threw on my favorite Ganni top for a casual day around Los Angeles and it occurred to me that I have never put this in an “outfit” post. Sometimes the most worn items in my closet don’t make the blog because they feel too ordinary or they just don’t make the cut when it comes time to actually shoot with a photographer. It’s such a bummer because this is truly one of my favorite items in my closet right now. Wearing it inspired me to do another “30 Days” post which you guys seemed to love.
Yesterday I spent some solid time on my resolutions list. I love writing down goals and dreams each year and I have had the same Moleskin journal specifically for this since 2013. It’s nice to reflect on past goals and future hopes and dreams.
What’s on your resolution list this year?
{The tan coat & gray coat in this post are sold out so I linked to similarly cute items below}
