If there was just one word to describe the Dior Saddle Bag, it would be “iconic.”
I could not be more excited that Dior decided to give the people what they wanted – a relaunch. Introduced by John Galliano in 1999, the saddle bag was soon to become the ‘It’ bag in the early 2000s {how was that 18 years ago?!} As with most fashion trends, what’s old is always new again and with this “vintage” bag making its rounds on the style scene as of late, today Dior has officially relaunched their iconic saddle bag and I couldn’t be happier to help them celebrate the new collection.
And for those of you who remember {or have} the original version, the velcro has been updated to a magnetic closure. It’s hard to remember a time when high designers used velcro on their bags!
I couldn’t be happier that my dear friends at Dior surprised me with the black calfskin saddle bag {I know – spoiled!}. It will definitely be a bag that I cherish and wear forever.
