Lately I haven’t been sleeping too well.
A good night’s sleep is essential for most everything, but especially so if you’ve got a toddler to chase after. It’s recommended to get at least 7 hours of sleep, but I think there’s a difference between sleep and good sleep. I’ve been doing some research, and here are some tips to get your best sleep:
Having your bedroom be a serene place can make your sleep that much better. Good sheets, peace and quiet, and a little bit of aroma therapy can go a long way. (PS: click here for a 20% discount for my favorite sheets!)
Sticking to a schedule is huge for getting better sleep. Your body’s sleep schedule has a huge impact on your day-to-day- think jet lag. If you need to work on you sleep schedule {going to bed earlier or even later} be sure to adjust in increments.
A night-time routine is the perfect way to wind down and get ready for some zzz’s. I love incorporating some beauty elements into my nighttime routine like hand lotion or even a face oil. Another good tip is to limit screen time, which means no phones or laptop... which I’m working on.
Good habits throughout the day can help you get better sleep at night. Getting regular exercise, not eating or drinking caffeine too late, and keeping your bed as a place for just sleep all help your body get the best sleep possible.
Do you have any sleep tips? I’d love to hear them!
