My hair was still half wet from the beating down rain outside as I ducked into Grand Central Station for the second time in my life. The scurry of passengers bustling past lit a a spark in my heart but all I wanted to do was stop and stand in the middle of the terminal to breathe in the surroundings. Every time I stopped, I was nudged by a person racing to catch their train. Everyone is always saying to slow down, look up or stop and smell the roses, but sometimes it’s better to keep your pace. It was in that moment that I realized that sometimes walking is better than standing still.
