When I was back home in Texas last weekend I found it to be the perfect opportunity to wear the dress I designed for my Splendid X Damsel collection. I also found it to be the perfect trip to experience something for the very first time: a south Texas sunrise during harvest season. My Dad and I woke up at 5am and patiently waited for my photographers to roll over. We all headed over to “The Home Place” which is the piece of land that has been farmed in my family for about 150 years. My Granny’s house in the background served for the perfect backdrop to wait for the day to begin. It was truly a magical experience that I will always treasure. Once the sun started to shine in our eyes we headed back to the house. “Wanna go grab some breakfast?” my Dad asked. I cannot imagine saying no… I wanted the morning to last forever.
