When it comes to applying skincare products, did you know that there is a correct order to put them on?
It wasn’t until receiving a facial recently that I fully understood the true importance about layering on products correctly and effectively. Here is a step by step guide on the order of your routine for daytime and if you scroll to the bottom of this post I’ve included the nighttime order as well.
Do anything and everything you need to do to remove all make-up from your face. Exfoliate, cleanse and remove any and all residue from the day.
I love anything and everything by this organic skin care line called Tata Harper.
Shop NowA good toner is intended to prime your skin to soak in all of the good nutrients in the products you will apply next. Toner shouldn’t feel heavy and the texture should not linger for too long on your face.
This is my favorite toner that I've been wearing for years.
Shop NowThis is my favorite part! I just love a good serum and in my opinion the most important serum every woman should own is a good Vitamin C. It brightens skin and lightens up dark spots.
I love Skin Inc. Their products feel so pure and simple in a good way.
Shop NowBecause they are thinner and lighter than moisturizers, it’s important to apply them before. I like to use very light cream under my eyes and dab it ever so slightly, almost letting it soak in on its own.
I love testing and trying out all different types of moisturizers but there’s one tinted version with SPF that’s stood the test of time in my vanity for years.
You know I’m a sucker for a good face oil. Before learning that moisturizer goes on first, I would always put oil on but since I made the switch I can truly feel a difference.
Even if your moisturizer has SPF in it, it’s always good to throw on another layer of SPF to protect your skin. I love using this organic setting mist with SPF.
