We searched the web for the simplest at home face masks, with the most everyday ingredients.
No specialty stores or online ordering required; you probably already own most of these ingredients. And if not, they can be found at any grocery store. Easy, fun and effective… test them out and let us know what you think!
Avocado Mask
This trio of ingredients comes together to produce a host of benefits. The fatty acids in the avocado will leave your skin feeling hydrated and replenished. The cocoa powder is used to calm any flare-ups in the face. And lastly, the antibacterial nature of honey will lead to healthier and clearer skin. What's not to love? Recipe sourced from: Marie Claire
Ingredients & Directions
Ingredients: 1/4 Avocado + 1 tbsp cocoa powder + 1 tbsp honey
Directions: Mash the avocado and mix it with the cocoa powder and honey. Apply it to a clean, dry face, and keep it on for 10 minutes. Wash the mixture off with warm water.
Almond Mask
Similar to how the fattiness of the avocado leads to hydrated skin, the fattiness of the almonds will moisturize the face. Furthermore, the olive oil contains vitamin E, which protected against outside pollution. This pollution is a known cause of skin damage. Therefore, these two powerful ingredients work together to make your skin healthier and more glowing. Recipe sourced from: Elle
Ingredients & Directions
Ingredients: A handful of almonds {we used almond meal} + 1 tbsp of olive oil
Directions: If you have whole almonds, be sure to finely grind them. Next, mix the ground almonds in with the olive oil. Apply the mixture to your face and keep it on for 10 minutes. Before washing it off, gently massage the mask into your skin to get the full benefits.
Beer Mask
While this combination may be surprising, it has a massive amount of benefits. The beer cleanses and soothes the skin. It also brightens the skin and makes you GLOW. The lime cleans pores and evens the skin. The combination of the beer and the egg white improves the skin's elasticity. It's a miracle worker if you ask me! Recipe sourced from: Real Simple
