With a few days to spare between Paris fashion week and my upcoming trip to Dubai, we decided to take a quick trip down to Avignon and then the Provence area of France.

Having originally planned to go to Kenya, our itinerary had to come together rather quickly as things changed. Thankfully, the folks over at Mr. and Mrs. Smith helped line us up with an amazing boutique hotel called La Mirande.

We took a quick three hour train ride from Paris and the hotel was situated perfectly in the middle of town just behind the Pope’s Palace. This town reminded me a lot of Italy and I would strongly suggest a visit. My favorites? L’epicerie for dinner (steak) and La Mirande for hotel.
