We have been here just a few days, but it feels like we have done so much already.
We aren’t here for very long this year, but we are making the time count. We start with a 5:30 am wakeup most mornings, so each day feels like about three. I live for these jam-packed, busy, exciting days.
Here is a rundown of Fashion Week thus far. From events to outfits, I am keeping you in the loop on everything.
We landed and immediately unpacked and headed over to the always exciting Harper’s BAZAAR ICONS Party. What a way to kick of New York Fashion Week. We seriously started with a bang.
This black tie event draws crowds and is such a fun environment to mix and mingle with old and new friends. It is held at the Plaza Hotel this year and is famous for its celebrity appearances and performances {this year it was Alicia Keys!}. I met up with these two lovely ladies and saw so many other familiar faces.
The next Morning {Saturday} I headed over to What Goes Around Comes Around, which has the absolute best vintage finds. I literally wanted everything. You have to stop by if you have the chance.
They have a newly transformed downstairs vault with all the best of the best. I seriously felt like a kid in a candy shop.
Then, we went off to the Kate Spade Show at the absolutely stunning Elizabeth Street Garden. The models carried plants with them and one even carried a tiny dog {you know that got my heart beating fast}.
Also, I am obsessing over this dress. It has little biker shorts beneath, I’m so into it!
Longchamp was absolutely stunning. The Lincoln Center is such a serene and sophisticated venue to hold a show, it was honestly magical.
And I’m not even going to pretend to be chill about the fact that I met Ricky Thompson. I had to take this picture to show my brother {and for my own fan-girling sake}.
Next, I headed over to the Cinq á Sept and Rebecca Minkoff Presentations. While a show is a seated event, a presentation is where guest can arrive during a large window of time and walk through the event. It is so fun to see the way each designer stages the various scenes.
All I have to say is that Ralph Lauren knows how to throw an event.
The Ralph’s Club Party was sophisticated and fun as always. We were asked to dress in black, white and/or metallic, so it was incredibly special to look around the room and see everyone look so cohesive.
I met up with a couple more of my great girlfriends and we danced the night away.
I adore Tibi because of its elevated wearability.
The show today was magnificent for just this reason. Everything is so beautiful and I just want to {and feel like I can} wear it all in my daily life.
Stay tuned for Part 2 of New York Fashion Week. What do you want to see more of? Comment below!
