I’ve already started to spot some closet favorites I’ve been wearing on repeat.
Now that temps are rising up and up, I’m making room in my wardrobe for nothing but summer pieces. After doing a deep closet clean and storing all of my winter wear, I was able to clearly see which pieces are already looking like stand outs this season.

1. White Linen Top
An oversized white button down top is an absolute must for summer. I love a layer that I can toss on with my swimsuit, shorts or even a light pair of pants for night time.

2. Denim Shorts
Summer just isn’t “summer” without a classic pair of denim shorts.

These are hands down my current favorite denim cut off shorts. They are just short enough and perfectly distressed.

3. Light Cotton Jacket
I never leave the house without some sort of jacket and a classic denim jacket is a staple that must be in everyone’s closets. It’s perfect for pairing with a light summer dress or over your white button up.

4. Hats Hats Hats
If you’ve followed me for a while you know I just love me a good Janessa Leone hat! I have…well, let’s just say that I have a lot. I think my newest favorite is the Demitria but here are other favorites I have in my summer wardrobe.

5. Summer Sweater
I’m all about layers for summer which some people might find a little odd. But living on the Pacific Coast we will get very hot days and then the temps start to cool off at night. I love wearing a light tank with a summer sweater over my shoulders that I can eventually layer on for happy hour.

6. Dress Shorts
I have truly got my money out of these Solid & Striped black belted shorts. When in doubt, I toss them on with a white tee, a light sweater or even just a one-piece swimsuit.

7. Straw Tote
I’ve developed a bit of a straw tote bag obsession. Last year I invested in this Loewe straw tote and now I have three (eek!). But I also recently purchased this one from Amazon that I think it’s going to be a front runner this year.

8. Polo Baseball Cap
It’s preppy, it’s chic, it hides the need for highlights and it protects your face from the sun. When I don’t feel like laying out in a straw hat, my Polo hat is the next best thing.
9. Classic Black One-Piece
You guys know how much I love a classic black one-piece swimsuit. Obviously I love the suit I designed for Summersalt, but I’ve also linked to few more favorites below.

10. Oran Sandals
I cannot tell you how many people write me about the Hermés Oran sandals. In a nutshell: YES! They are worth the investment. I’ve had mine for 3 summers in a row and they go.with.everything. I know they are pricey, so here is a very good knock off from Amazon for only $45!
