Travel 7 years ago My Guide to Melrose Place
I get countless e-mails from people visiting Los Angeles asking for store recommendations.
While it’s rather difficult to give just one place, I do have an area that’s filled with my favorites that I wanted to take some time to share. Melrose Place is a great place for visitors to shop because everything is within a 2-3 block radius. You can shop, eat and play all within walking distance.
Here are a few of my must see favorites on the street.
Zimmermann // 8468 Melrose Pl, West Hollywood, CA 90069 // You can likely find a meter outside of this adorable Australian brand store that offers a healthy selection of dresses, resort and one of the best dressing rooms in Los Angeles. Located just across the street is the infamous Nine Zero Salon who are known for their “braid bar.” Call ahead and make an appointment and you might luck out in spotting a celeb or two.
The Apartment by The Line // 2nd Floor, 8463 Melrose Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90069 // Warning: This place is going to tempt every sense in your body to purchase, purchase purchase. From home decor to the latest and greatest in fashion, this is hands down my favorite place to pit stop along Melrose Place. It hurts my heart, because I want everything this store has to offer. It’s set up like an actual apartment, where everything is for sale. The only downside is the price tag. You absolutely must see this store but don’t say I didn’t warn you.
The Row // 8440 Melrose Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90069 // No pictures please! Or at least that is what the salesman yelled at me as I snuck in a shot or two at one of the most luxurious brands on Melrose Place, The Row. Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen’s store may break the bank, but it’s very easy on the eyes.
L’Agence // 8436 Melrose Place // Located in the same corridor as The Row, you absolutely must pop in to this adorable boutique that carries all of the elevated basics your closet needs.
Violet Grey // 8452 Melrose Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90069 // This is hands down my favorite store for cosmetics and beauty. The carefully curated selection of what is new to the beauty scene keeps me in the loop on all things related to skin care.
Isabel Marant //8454 Melrose Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90069// This little spot gives off a boutique vibe while still holding down the household Isabel Marant name. I love coming here just for the entrance, the cute little garden out front provides the perfect entrance to this unique storefront.
Mansur Gavriel // 8475 Melrose Place // The newest kids on the Melrose Place block is this adorable pop-up shop by Mansur Gavriel. Adding a bright pink wall with an delicious cafe in front, you’ll find tons of style inspiration the minute you walk through the doors.
Veronica Beard // 8471 Melrose Place // If you want to step right in to a tropical paradise then this is the store for you. It’s like a vacation when you walk through the doors.
Rachel Comey // 8432 Melrose Place // Just next door to Alfred’s Coffee is one of my absolute favorite shops on the block. I pop in at least once a month to see what’s new and never walk out empty handed.
Frame // 8467 Melrose Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90069 // When you think of buying a pair of jeans I bet you don’t think of an incredibly chic, upscale boutique buying experience. The interior of this store is house goals.
