One of the places that’s been on my bucket list since I can remember is Venice, Italy.
After spending the past 4 weeks staying outside of Florence, Grant and I finally decided it was time to take a quick trip just us two. It’s the second time we’ve ever left June {and we were only gone for 2 nights} but it was honestly so great getting some quality time together.
When we first arrived to Venice I had tears in my eyes. The minute you step off the train there is a canal filled with water taxis, gondolas and beautiful boats floating by. Because there are no cars in Venice, I felt truly at peace walking around in with the quiet sounds of water, church bells and laughter.
On our first day, we spent our time mostly walking around exploring. We had a nice lunch at Cipriani and tested out their signature drink, the bellini and it was FANTASTIC!
I’ll be writing more from Venice next week but for now, here are a few photos from our first day.
Ciao!
