Health 5 years ago My Embarrassing Lifestyle Adjustment
This weekend I got really sick.
And no, it wasn’t a cold. It’s kind of crazy because I’d been talking to Grant a lot about our resolutions for 2020. Somehow we have managed to really put our wellness on the back seat since we had June.
The very last thing on our to do list that we both do not make enough time for is working out.
We somehow cannot manage to get a consistent schedule or routine going. I’m sure most of you are thinking we are crazy for being so hard on ourselves because we have a 10 month old baby. But to be honest, I love working out and it’s what really keeps my mind working correctly. We also have a nanny to help us Monday – Friday so I can’t seem to wrap my head around why we can’t get our schedules straight.
In addition to our lack of consistently working out, we have been eating like absolute crap. I’m talking eggs and oatmeal for breakfast {starting out on the right foot}, fries on the side at lunch and panic driven bowls of pasta, fried food and horrible choices throughout the week.
Just as I was talking {a lot} about making some major shifts to our diets and lifestyle, I was hit hard with a bug. I won’t go into details but this weekend it took me down for the count where I was in bed by 8pm in agonizing pain and still don’t feel 100% right.
You guys, I am the worst at taking care of myself. So after this happened and I internally yelled at my bad eating behavior and lack of self care I did not at all find it ironic, but a true sign, that a vitamin company called 8Greens reached out to work on a sponsored Instagram post.
No, this blog post is not sponsored.
The reason I’m sharing is because I don’t want anyone to feel like my life is picture perfect. And while I’m taking special measure to create a plan for healthier eating in our home, I also plan to share our journey with you guys.
For now, our immediate adjustments include getting the necessary greens that my body needs in order to function. I’m also making it a top priority to work out at least once a week. I think it’s a pretty decent start and I’m doing it now.
I’m not waiting for 2020.
So now I ask of you, how do you guys fit it all in? How to you make healthy choices and fit in your work out and take time to give back to your body. I’d love to hear from you!
