We are doing our best to take time to carefully select pieces for the new house.
The entire thing takes quite some time and Grant and I are trying our best to be patience and not cut corners. We recently finalized our master bedroom plans and as we slowly chip away at getting product in, we are brainstorming the next room our our list: the living room! Here are a few inspiration boards and items on our dream list.
I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I feel like I’m going on a sconce overload but there are really only two spaces in the living room for a good sconce. One spot is above the fireplace {similar to the photo above} and the other is above my piano {which we have already installed}. What is your take on a sconce? I like to think of it as a piece of art that is adding value to the walls, but do you think you can go on a sconce overload?
I definitely want to put a bench in front of our front facing window area but I’m torn between leather and fabric. The leather feels really luxe and chic to me but the fabric feels classic and timeless. Thoughts?
It’s a bit outside my comfort zone to inject some eclectic print into my home, but I’ve been drawing inspiration from style icon Lee Radziwill lately and I just love the idea of pulling a Chinese print into the mix. I’m thinking instead of something as bold as chairs, to go with a Chinese art deco rug. Don’t get me wrong, we all love a good Moroccan rug but I’m in the mood to spice things up a bit.
