Style Tips 5 years ago Last Year's Trend That's Here To Stay
You guys know I’m not one to hop on every fast trend that comes through the pipeline.
But when I started to see that pearls were making a come back, I was pretty excited. I used to love dipping into my mom’s jewelry box and playing dress up with pearls.
Pearls are versatile in that they aren’t just found in jewelry these days. From hair accessories to shoes, pearls are everywhere and I’m certainly not complaining.
Here are some of my favorite places pearls have been popping up.
Jewelry
A classic but a staple, I love sporting pearls in my jewelry. I think it’s really fun to mix this timeless material with an edgier look. For example, I love when pearls are mixed with a more rugged gold design.
Shoes
Recently, I’ve been seeing pearls pop up in footwear. The brand Mother of Pearl has been incorporating this material into their unique designs. I also love how these styles edge up the classic nature of the pearl. I love the idea of pairing these more adventurous shoes with a simple LBD.
Hair Accessories
From headbands to barrettes, I have been loving incorporating more unique hair accessories into my everyday wardrobe. I love how pearl accessories can so easily been taken from day to night, and are an easy way to dress up a casual look.
Bags
Finally, I love seeing pearls in handbags. There is something so precious about a little purse filled with pearls. I think it is the perfect combination of classic, classy and cute.
