It’s crazy to think that Labor Day weekend is fast approaching, when it seems like only yesterday, we were celebrating the unofficial start of Summer on Memorial Day weekend. It’s times like these that always remind me to slow down and live in the moment. Labor Day weekend often felt like Summer’s last hurrah before heading back to school – and even though I’m years past that, I still feel the same way. Even though the summer weather may continue long after Labor Day weekend, it still is the perfect time get together with family and friends to really savor the last bit of Summer – summer activities, summer food, summer drinks and summer style.
Today I’m sharing a few Labor Day weekend style tips with you so that you can send of the Summer in the most fashionable of ways. Whether you are beach and bbq bound, poolside or city exploring, I hope you get a little style inspiration below.
Wear Your White Linen
I don’t subscribe to the rule that you shouldn’t wear white after Labor Day {and most people don’t anymore}, but continuing to wear your summery white linen pieces might be pushing it. I think Labor Day weekend is the perfect time to give those favorite summer staples a last spin before they get put away until next summer.

If you are headed the beach or the pool for the long weekend switch up your super colorful and summery swimsuit coverups for a chic oversized Oxford or button down. I love this somewhat preppy look and it feels like a little bit more of a nod to the fall season ahead.

Wearing all black is always classic and chic. No matter what your Labor Day weekend plans are, you can do no wrong with a stylish all black outfit. Consider it the antidote to summer white – or a way to mourn the end of the season.
