Every year my elementary school had a bike rodeo.
Each class, 1-5, competed for the Grand Prize. I remember feeling very nervous the night before my final competition in the 5th Grade. After having won the grand prize every single year prior, I had four years of bike rodeo legacy to uphold! As a 5th grader, the pressure was on. I walked outside of my house the evening before the final competition and I looked up at the stars. The very first star I saw I made a wish that I would win.
The next day I won the grand prize trophy. I have believed in wishing on stars ever since then, and I still do to this day.
