Damsel Diaries 10 years ago In Color
This is what she wanted most in the world.
Walking across an old wooden pier, she approached a small tug boat that would take her across the bay to a large city that resembled Hong Kong. Everything was grey. The sky, her long flowing dress and the dreary city were all a clouded ashy color that somehow made her feel at ease. While she felt completely misplaced, there was a sense of familiarity in her surroundings. No one was on the tug boat aside from an older man with white hair who was operating the engine. As they chugged along the calm waters, in a short amount of time the boat reached another pier that sat at the bottom of a very tall, modern structure. Either a hotel or someones home, she immediately knew that what she was looking for was inside. Opening the large wooden, bamboo door there were spiral stairs that took her up to the penthouse. There was a man waiting for her, sitting on a window seat that looked out over the bay. He sipped a glass of red wine and offered her a vodka, soda with two limes. He knew her. Time moved slowly as they began talking but she couldn’t hear the conversation. All she could focus on was the insatiable desire she felt toward him. It seemed as though he wanted to keep things cordial; It seemed as though he wanted to keep her at a distance. Looking out, over the edge of the dark bay he leaned over to point at something in the distance. That is when his lips met hers. A hurricane of emotion swept over her heart and as she closed her eyes, she saw color.
{ I have been having the most extraordinary dreams & nightmares that seem to be running together in some sort of cohesive way. This story is one that I patched together from a few dreams that I’ve had this past week. }
