Roses are red, violets are blue, Valentine’s Day is around the corner and everyone is having sex, are you?
I generally don’t love the Valentine’s Day holiday because of all of the hearts and flowers and crazy amounts of pressure to spice things up in the love department. After all, shouldn’t we be expressing our love year round? However it does serve up a nice excuse to spice things up romantically. As I was doing some research on good gift ideas for Valentine’s Day this year, I came across countless articles that suggested giving him or her the gift of giving…sexually that is.
{Meme you might want to stop reading now}
Here are a few quick and easy ideas to spice things up in the sex department over the next week.
Do 'it' before dinner instead of after. Put on some music, light the candles, have a pre-party cocktail and hit the sack before the steak. This way you have no excuse after dinner to forfeit fun time because you are 'too tired.'
Sometimes the sexiest part about having sex is not having sex at all {how many times can a person use 'sex' in a sentence?}. By taking home base off the table, you can find other ways to pleasure one another that might end up being more fun and intimate.
Bring one new thing into the bedroom to play with. Whether it's a blindfold, a piece of lingerie or a sex toy, inject a new something-something to spice things up.
Rather than planning a super serious romantic dinner, complete with a jazz band, plan a date that is fun to lighten things up a bit. Bowling, mini-golf, seeing a concert...anything that connects the two of you versus putting on pressure to be romantic might help get the flirtatious vibes going.
This one goes out to all the couples who have been together for 5 years and counting. Spend the day sexting! Shoot off quick, sexy photos and sayings to each other all day to build anticipation for what is to come {pun intended}.
I don't mean fictional. Bring out a kama sutra book and go through each position and try at least 10. Don't take it too seriously, have fun with it.
