Color-blocking can be a little intimidating at first, but once you figure out a way to beat the system it’s actually quite fun and frees up your wardrobe options.
After doing a bit of research, I came across a very helpful article on Corporate Fashionista that broke down color-blocking in very simple steps.
First thing’s first, you need to pick an option of which color-blocking style you are going for.

If you decide to mix separate colors, you might find this basic color wheel helpful. Analogous color-blocking is easier on the eye {that is what I’ve done in this outfit} versus selecting complimentary colors which is a more dramatic, bold choice.
The easiest way to pull off color-blocking is to select a color that is most flattering for you and work from there.
