The holidays are my favorite time to play dress up and try out new make-up techniques.
Whether your plans have you attending a festive dinner or swanky soiree, it’s the best time to whip out a bold lip or smokey eye to really make your look shine.
Lately I have been working clean beauty products into my routine which is why I am thrilled to partner with Beautycounter this holiday. When it comes to safer skin care options, I don’t really know what I don’t know. It has been so relieving to trust that when I am using Beautycounter that they have put the time, research and special care into making sure they put the “truth” back in beauty and create products that are good for you.
I’m using my holiday favorites from Beautycounter in this post as I share a few holiday make-up tricks and tips below.
Cream highlighters are a wonderful option if you are looking for a dewy, long lasting glow for your cheek bones. I often favor using a roll-on stick option versus a powder because they are easier to build on and you can blend it in with your foundation.
Not just for your cheeks - use this beautiful bronzer all over your face!
Shop NowOne of the best tips that my make-up artist BFF taught me what how to correctly draw in my face. A common misconception about bronzer is that it should only be used on your cheeks but you will be shocked by how much a difference it makes in enhancing your face when you use it all over. I’ve included a roadmap to contouring and highlighting below.
Cold weather makes lips dry, chapped and mine always seem to turn into a weird pinkish color that makes me look really washed out. Don’t forget that lip stick is your friend this holiday season and when all else fails, you can bust out an all-neutral look with a great lip and be ready to deck the halls.
Thank you to our friends at Beautycounter for partnering on this post.
