I know I’m not alone when I say that the new Lemonade album by Beyoncé has been on repeat times 100 in my life lately. I cannot get enough! Leave it to Beyoncé to turn lemons into Lemonade, but I do have a few thoughts that I can’t help but share:
1. We do not truly know as to whether or not “Becky with the good hair” is, in fact, Rachel Roy but the Beyoncé bee hive has been stinging her left and right. Slamming Rachel Roy with hate mail, instagram bullying and even attacks against her children have spiraled out of control to the point where I cannot help but ask: Why hasn’t Beyoncé told her hive to back down? Isn’t Beyoncé all about women empowering other women, not bullying and attacking them? Shouldn’t we be focusing the anger toward the man who cheated on her? Jay Z?
2. Just for the record: I love Beyoncé.
3. I heard a rumor that Jay Z is going to come out with an album in response to Lemonade. I’m holding my breath eagerly.
4. Finally, do you remember when Beyoncé’s sister attacked Jay Z in the elevator at the Standard Hotel in New York last year? Do you think that she was attacking him because she was sticking up for B after the cheating came out? How do you feel about the album? What’s your favorite track?
