After learning my lesson with unexpected traffic in Paris, I arrived early for the Zadig & Voltaire Show which delivered a pleasant surprise.
Just around the corner from the venue we ran smack dab into the famous Rue Clear Marketplace! Complete with tiny shops for flowers, fromage, wine and ice cream, this street is a definite must see if you are visiting Paris. It’s the perfect pit stop to get dropped off at just before walking to the Eiffel Tower. You can stock up and make the 5 – 10 minute stroll for a picnic in the Champs de Mars which overlooks the Eiffel Tower. Or, if you are looking for a place to hit up after touring the tower, I highly recommend L’Eclair for the delicious charcuterie meat board & specialty cocktails. Oh, and did I mention the picturesque quartet marching band that strolled down the street like something out of a 1950s film? This place was idyllic.
