Travel 7 years ago My Guide To Aspen
I’ve been very lucky over the past 10 years to visit this magical place and have a few favorite spots that I would strongly recommend if your travel plans happen to include Aspen.
Have you been to Aspen before? Have any favorites to recommend?
Eat – White House Tavern
The first stop on my “to eat” list is always White House Tavern where you’ll find the tastiest crispy chicken sandwich of all time. This spot gets quite crowded at night so I always tend to make it a lunch spot to avoid crazy waiting times.
Ski – AJAX Mountain
Listen, there are a ton of wonderful mountains to ski on in Aspen {Highlands and Snow Mass included}, but my favorite is Ajax because it’s located smack dab in the middle of the town. If you have a split group, it’s a great mountain for skiers who want to meet friends/family for lunch or aprés ski drinks. However, if you do find yourself open to exploring, be sure to visit Highland and make a reservation at Cloud 9 for a crazy fun party kind of lunch. This place turns up in the afternoon!
Shop – Pitkin County Goods
There are so many amazing stores in Aspen and you can literally walk the entire town in a day. One place I’d definitely recommend hitting up is Pitkin County Goods for a really strong selection of women’s clothing.
Sleep – The Little Nell
The {infamous} Little Nell is hands down the easiest location for accessing the mountain. It’s adorable and has picturesque views of the slopes. If you’re in a more hipster mode, try out Jerome Hotel and if you’re feeling ultra swanky there’s always the St. Regis.
Romantic / Unique Dinner – Pine Creek Cookhouse
Imagine taking a sleigh ride up to a cozy lodge for dinner. With no cell phone service and a delicious menu, this special place will offer a night for the record books. This is hands down one of our favorite places to eat.
Fun Dinner – Campo de Fiori
What can I say? Aspen has delicious food! Campo de Fiori is a long standing crowd favorite. Their pasta is AMAZING!
