Last weekend the gals and I took a spontaneous getaway to Cabo. I had a trip planned to Riviera Maya with my family this week. So, I figured, why not spend an entire week in Mexico versus my usual week in New York for fashion week? After all, when the luxurious Grand Velas offers you a 3 night stay in one of their amazing king room suites, how could I say no?
Speaking of the Grand Velas: A lot of you wrote me on my social media asking about this resort. I really, really loved it! I’d never heard of Grand Velas until this trip and I admit that I was a little hesitant. Usually in Cabo I would stay at the Pedregal or Esperanza, both of which are known to be the nicest hotels in the area. Well, you can add Grand Velas to the list if you haven’t already. The food was excellent, which is not something you can typically say for an “all inclusive” stay. They switched up the menu daily and I really loved everything I ate. My favorite meal was on our final night at the Cocina de Autor which is a led by two Michelin star Head Chef Sidney Schutte. Let me just say that I don’t usually eat lamb, but I ate lamb {as part of this 12 course meal}, and I loved every single bit of it.
Here are a few candid shots from the trip. You can shop my outfits at the bottom of the post. Ever been to Cabo? Have some suggestions? Leave a travel tip in the comments below!
Special thank you to Grand Velas for an amazing experience.
