As you’ve probably seen on Instagram, a lot of people are throwing up content from Paris? Jealous? Naw. Okay, maybe a little (ha!).

Just because I decided to sit out this Paris fashion week season, doesn’t mean I haven’t been lusting over looks from France. Year after year come fall I’m always turning to Paris for style inspiration because Parisians have a very effortless way of layering up for fall.

Here are a few key pieces that everyone needs to add to their wardrobe, the Parisian way. If you click on the photo or the text to the right, it will take you to what I recommend for each item.

Oversized Trench

I'm loving this fresh take on the classic trench for fall. We probably already all have your typical trench coat, so try mixing things up this season. I love how you can easily drape this oversized jacket over your shoulder. 

Staple Striple

One item that you will find in a frenchie's closet year-round is a silky striped blouse that can be worn slightly tucked into a pair of denim. I also love buttoning this all the way to the top and tossing up hair in a top knot for a more sophisticated style.

A Piece of Plaid

Whether it's an entire blazer or a simple scarf, every girl needs a piece of plaid in her wardrobe for fall. I personally love adding a new plaid blazer to my wardrobe because it really takes any outfit up to the next level.

I love how we're seeing more and more sneakers across the board. Often times you will find beautiful babes in Paris out and about running errands wearing their vegan friendly sneakers by Veja.

High Rise Boot Cut

The more I see high rise denim paired with boots, the more I love it. The great thing about this denim style is that you can style it with flat or heeled boots, or no boots at all!

Sweater Dress

The classic sweater dress has always and will always remain a fall favorite not just for Parisians. It's super easy to style with over the knee boots or with tights and booties. I love this style so much!

You know how Parisians always look so effortless? It's because they have a curated closet with staple pieces that never go out of style. Insert the cashmere crewneck sweater that you can wear year after year.
