What is your idea of happiness?
A sunny day, good people, good food.
– Favorite food/drink?
Favorite non-alcoholic drink is a mint arnold palmer, favorite alcoholic drink is either a mojito or a lava flow: part strawberry daiquiri, part pina colada .. we were born to live near the ocean.
Favorite Food:
Jess – French Toast, and anything with Truffle Oil on it.
Jen – Mac & Cheese
– What is your motto?
Officially “Finding the Joy in All Things Beautiful”, but lately we have just been reciting to each other “We can do this. We can do this? We can do this!” It keeps us going and motivates us.
– Who is your favorite musician?
We don’t really have a favorite musician, but our top 3 songs on our playlist right now are: “Eye’s Wide Open” by Gotye, “Payphone” by Maroon 5, and “Down in the Valley” by The Head and the Heart.
– What do you consider to be the greatest invention?
The iPhone, it’s doing a fabulous job as our personal assistant and on-the-go photo editor write now.
– What do you love most about fashion?
Jen- Fashion is a living narrative. What you wear tells a story, whether it’s I feel fabulous in this outfit, or I want to be comfortable today. Our fashion gives the world information about ourselves before we even open our mouths.
Jess- That it can change your attitude. If I’m having a bad day, I can put on the shirt my husband bought me for Christmas or a piece of jewlery I bought on a trip – and it puts a smile on my face. Also, fashion is like art. We both grew up doing theater, so it’s always fun to “dress up.” But, as much fun as fashion is, we try not to take it or ourselves too seriously. We tend to lean towards what’s cute and comfortable (and always keep a pare of comfy flats in the car).
– If you had one wish, what would it be?
That I could spend everyday surrounded by the people I love, making a living doing things that make us and others happy … we’re working on that dream.
– What is your favorite item in your closet?
Jess- My Vince leather jacket, it’s my go to “be warm and cute” outer layer.
Jen- My paige skinny jeans. Boring I know, but they don’t stretch out, and they are cute cuffed or long, and I wear them with just about everything.
What are 3 things you have been up to lately?
1) We are throwing our first big fund raiser for “Two Wings”(www.withtwowings.org) which is a non-profit that is dedicated to inspiring and equipping survivors of sex trafficking to pursue their dream vocation through career training, mentoring, and job placement.

and that has been taking up a lot of our non bloggy time. Jess has been “collecting” reusable materials. We are going for a theme of “breathing new life into everything around you,” so we are trying to do all the decor in upcycled, and reclaimed products.
2) Being newlyweds and playing house
3) Planning a couples shower for our Cousin and his soon to be adorable wife! Yay for more Wheeler Weddings!

– Favorite Store?
Michaels Craft store is where we have been spending most of our time lately, as for clothing store, we love Topshop and can’t wait for the store to open in LA!
– Reading any books at the moment? Seen any great movies? Favorite TV Shows?
Jess- The hubs and I rented “Crazy, Stupid, Love” recently and loved it.
Jen- Please don’t judge me, but I loved the Hunger Games series.
– What is your favorite word of the moment?
“pin-spiration” which is our pinterest inspirations, and “crafternoons” our afternoon craft days.
– What is your favorite color of the moment? (or color-combo)
We love blush and grey (hence our website)
We also have been loving a lot of mint and peach as summer is approaching
– What are 3 things you have in your purse at all times?
Jen:
Burt Bee’s chap stick
L’Occitane Creme Mains hand cream
a small cute note pad to jot down notes, yes I still write things down…old school…I still write checks too!
Jess:
My iPhone,
Bobbi Brown Lip Balm
bobby pins (I have long hair, half the time I have to put it up)
And I almost always have a chalk ink pen or a fun color gell roll pen in my purse (for last minute crafts or notes)
– If you were an animal what would you be?
Jess- My family jokes I would be a monkey . . . long story.
Jen- I will tell that story! Jess was born on the same day as a baby orangutan at the San Diego Zoo, and their baby pictures looked amazingly similar! Giant brown eyes, dark brown hair that stuck straight up, it was hilarious. So we called her baby orangutan for a while…For some reason she doesn’t find it as amusing as we do, but she’s always been a good sport about it.
– What is one talent you wish you had (but sadly do not)?
Jen: Beautiful handwriting like my sister.
Jess: To play an instrument really well (I barely can play the piano and I know about three cords on the guitar).
