Our Home 11 years ago First Comes Love . . .
Then comes Marriage . . .
Then comes buying a house!
I am so excited to finally be able to share with you our big news! We purchased a house … but no, that photo above is definitely not our new house. If you saw our house currently, your jaw might drop as it is a total “fixer upper” with lime green everything from the floors to the walls and even the ceiling! I am very excited but also a touch nervous as this is my very first home purchase. Since my husband works in the real estate industry, I am putting full trust in his hands to turn out this project {ha, no pressure!}. While he will be at the helm, I am going to be sharing inspirational photos and lots of fun content on the blog in the next several months to come! And, of course, once we are done I will be sharing a before/after.
My goal is to provide “Home Sweet Damsel” content every other Thursday {schedule permitting} with themed posts circling around our construction. Todays post is outdoor space.
I hope you enjoy taking this fun journey with us as we turn our house into a home.
I’ve had this photo saved on my Pinterest board for the longest time because of the beautiful tile that offers a moroccan feel to the succulent surroundings.
I have literally already starting saving up for this Malm Fireplace to put in the backyard. It always feels like the more special details get cut at the end of a project, but I strongly feel that it is the uncommon details that make for a unique space {where outdoor or in}.
We are extremely blessed to live in Los Angeles where we have year-round amazing weather. I am hoping we can include vanishing thresholds from the kitchen to backyard to provide a seamless indoor/outdoor environment.
I love the modern feel that this poolside yard offers. We are planning on mixing either gravel or concrete in with our front yard and driveway.
