While everyone else’s feeds were throwing up fall this weekend, I took the opposite approach and drove to Palm Springs in search of a pool. I’m sure you have heard about the outrageous temps in Los Angeles this week. I finally just submitted to the heat and accepted that fall isn’t coming early this year. With that said, I know many of you are planning tropical getaways this holiday season so hopefully this post can inspire your packing list for any upcoming travel.
1. Swimwear
Picking out cute swimsuits is my favorite part about planning a vacation. It’s fun to try out bright colors or fun prints that you aren’t typically wearing during the fall and winter seasons.
2. Tote Bags
When heading off to a vacation getaway, I find that the best bags to bring with you are tote bags. Not only can you easily take them with you on an airplane, you can also use them to carry your pool or beach essentials once you have arrived at your destination.
3. Light wash denim shorts
Light washed ripped or distressed denim just feels like summer. I don’t usually wear distressed light washed denim on cold and rainy days, they definitely feel like more of a sunny day outfit to me.
4. Statement Sunnies
Statement sunglasses are really a year round thing, but if you are headed off to a warm place it’s always fun to switch things up with a bright colorful pair for your trip.
5. Warm Weather Essentials
If you are road tripping to your warm weather getaway, don’t forget to pack sunscreen, beach towels and a sun hat!
