Fall is on its way.
I know. It seems crazy. Chances are that you are reading this in a heavily air-conditioned room or sipping on a cold ice coffee in your lightest sundress while the condensation drips down your hand. We are deep into summer and for many of us, experiencing an intense heatwave that has us longing for the temperature to cool down. But Fall will be here before you know it. I mean, it’s practically August. While the seasons in Southern California are pretty much all relative, we’ve become seasoned pros {get it ha!} in incorporating Autumnal style into our wardrobes – even when it may not feel like it.
Today, I’m sharing a few tips on how to incorporate Fall colors into your wardrobe now. Lord knows that we Southern Californians will be doing this through October!
*My pants are from Pomandere and unfortunately not available online at the moment.
If you’ve been loving yellow this summer like I have, start incorporating a little mustard yellow and marigold into your wardrobe. There are so many cute pieces that are already in stores.
Rusty and burnt orange shades will undoubtably be big this Fall. Start adding them into your closet now in subtle ways. One way would be to pick a print that has touches of the colors in the pattern.
Green has been huge this season and I see no reason why it won’t continue into the next season. On the cooler range of the color spectrum, start incorporating more navy and deep green pieces into your outfits with chic accessories that will carry you into the Fall. Tailored shorts and a light weight blazer in navy or forrest green are also always a good idea.
Let’s be serious, neutrals are year round staples, but I especially love mixing rich browns and camel colors in the Fall. Trying mixing these neutrals in different fabrics and textures {that are still wearable for summer} or start incorporating subtle neutral plaid and check prints into your wardrobe.
