It’s been quite eye opening how many things in my kitchen that I religiously use versus key pieces that I’m missing.
I think because I’m always choosing to invest time and money into my wardrobe that my poor kitchen has been a bit neglected. Now that we’re cooking morning, noon and night as restaurants and bars are closed in Los Angeles due to COVID-19, I’ve decided to put a little refresh into my kitchen supplies.
But where to start? I headed over to my favorite cookbook author, chef and lifestyle website,”What’s Gaby Cooking” and checked out her “Master List.” Gaby and I are not only weekly workout pals, but she has the most insanely delicious recipes and pro tips when it comes to cooking.
I noticed a few things on her list that we already own and use {phew, we passed her approval!} but I also came across a few things from her and other online resources that I’m interested to try.
Vitamix Blender – I use this blender every morning to make my Be Well By Kelly smoothie.
Our Coffee Maker – This is another thing that we’ve used for over 10 years that’s a good ‘ole faithful machine. We drink our coffee black every morning from this trusty maker and I can’t imagine our kitchen without it.
Global Classic Knife Set – We have had this set of knives for over 12 years, yes 12 years! In fact, Grant had them before we even met. They are still our favorites and are a worthy investment.
Silicone Spatula – I love this spatula for making eggs every morning for June. It prevents the eggs from getting stuck to the side of the pan.
Sponge Holder – I LOVE my sponge holder. There’s nothing that crawls under my skin more than a dirty sponge sitting in the sink, collecting germs. At least this way it’s up and draining water when it’s not being used.
The Always Pan – I have been lusting over this all in one pan for a few weeks and I’m thinking about pulling the trigger. Have any of you tried it?
Garlic Infused Oil – I use oil to cook almost every dish and I love garlic so this feels like a win-win.
A new Cutting Board – Why is it that our cutting board is always the last thing to get an update?
Set of Food Containers – Now more than ever is it important that we keep our food lasting long and strong. I’ve been eyeing this containers for such a long time and I’m almost embarrassed I don’t own them.
