I don’t love wearing a ton of makeup during the summer.
Sometimes I find that even when I am applying the lightest of foundations, my makeup starts to feel too caked on. As a brand ambassador for Olay this year, I’ve been experimenting with the Olay Whips moisturizer with SPF – and more often than not this summer, I’ve been forgoing makeup all together and just sticking to applying the moisturizer with SPF.
Although Olay Whips have made it so easy for me to incorporate SPF into my daily morning routine, I always wondered if applying SPF for an evening out was even worth it. After all, the sun is already going down anyway. I ended up doing a little research and found out that you are exposed to the same skin-damaging dose of UVA from sunup to sundown – January or July. So even though the sun feels different around happy hour, it is still vitally important to be wearing SPF.
If I’m prepping to go from meetings to drinks with the girls, or getting ready for date night with Grant, wearing and applying Olay Whips with SPF is always the right way to go to keep my skin protected, no matter the time of day. It gives my skin the perfect dewy finish without feeling greasy or looking shiny. Whether I decide to add a little bit of concealer, eyeliner or mascara on the other hand, will often decide on my mood {and most likely the temperature}.
Special thank you to Olay for partnering on this post.
