Travel 11 years ago Damsel Destination: Catalina Island
Have you ever heard of the small island just off the coast of Los Angeles that’s called Catalina Island? Up until a few years ago I never dreamed that a land that felt so far, far away could be accessed so easily.
In full attempt to soak in every last ounce of summer that is left, this weekend we loaded up the boat with friends and set sail across the Pacific just a short distance to what felt like our own personal hidden gem.
We spent most of the weekend tied up in Two Harbors but took a day trip into the more populated town of Avalon {seen above}.
We drove {on our golf cart} past a pet cemetery that felt too bittersweet not to stop.
Boat shoes on a boat? Could not be more appropriate!
My trusty Anchor Necklace help guide us. Okay, maybe not but at least I looked chic wearing it!
At night the temps really dropped and this cozy boyfriend sweater really came in handy {psst…it’s on sale!}.
Anything monogrammed pulls at my heart strings but this bag is overall perfection either way.
After eating boat loads of pasta, I was extremely thankful to have this adorable one piece from Zimmermann to cover up my tummy!
All in all it was a very relaxing weekend spent sipping wine, playing dictionary and enjoying laughs with friends.
