Along with a few behind the scenes photos from my shoot with Ann Taylor, my man is giving a few behind the scenes tips on how he shops for his Damsel for the holidays.

Tip #1: Pay attention to your ladies current closet and what is in it. You can learn a lot about what she likes from what she already has.

Tip #2: I’ve learned you can’t go wrong with jewelry.

Tip #3: When in serious doubt, ask her what she wants! I legit have Jacey make me a list and then I pick and choose stuff from it so it’s still somewhat a surprise.

#4: Know her size! Even if it means sneaking into her closet and peaking at the label. There’s nothing worse than getting something that is either too big or too small and then your wife/girlfriend has an emotional break down! (Ha).

#5: Give it some thought. It wasn’t until I married Jacey that I realized how much time she puts into even the smallest presents. If you are doubting your gift, beef up the card with something that is sentimental and sweet. You can’t go wrong if you are gifting from the heart.
