Beauty 7 years ago Backstage Beauty at Dior Haute Couture
I am still a bit shell shocked that I was invited to the Dior Couture Show in Paris!
The amazing team at Dior let us sneak backstage before the show started to get an up-close-and-personal look at the gorgeous make-up being created.
It felt extra special to peak behind the curtain before the show. I’m not going to lie, I had a jolt of nervous energy walking into the tents. It’s so different than any backstage experience I have had in New York. While there is typically more of a chaotic buzz behind the scenes of shows, this experience was much more serene. There were models walking, not running, from one station to the next, makeup artists keeping their cool as they apply intricate eyeliner, and industry people clamoring to get a glimpse of the beauty and fashion before anyone else.
While taking in the magic and madness behind the scenes, I couldn’t help but study the strong beauty looks designed by Peter Philips. The look: flawless skin, arched brows, nude lips, and graphic eyeliner (my favorite).
What a dream!
