Travel 8 years ago Aspen in January {Video}
A little place called Aspen. It’s my favorite ski destination and I’m very {very} lucky that my in-laws have a cabin there {available for rent by clicking here}. A few weeks ago I posted photos from my most recent trip and promised that I’d share my top places to eat and shop in Aspen. Hope you enjoy!
Eat
White House Tavern: Has one of the best fried chicken sandwiches and queso dip {it’s cold} of all time. I’d go during the day for a less crowded scene.
J Bar: The Hotel Jerome bar is very fun and trendy which is in the main lobby of the hotel. Next door, attached to the hotel is a chill restaurant called J Bar where you’ll find of my all time favorite cheeseburgers.
Ajax Tavern: It’s predictable that I’d pick this hot spot right at the base of Aspen Mountain but I just can’t help myself. Two words: Truffle Fries.
Casa Tua: This is probably one of my favorite spots to have a nice night out with family and friends. It’s very lively and has a bar upstairs that will keep you entertained until closing time.
Justice Snow’s: Love their carefully made concoctions! It’s a great spot for happy hour or post dinner drinks.
Pine Creek Cookhouse: One of the most unique and incredible experiences I’ve had to date was riding a sleigh up to dinner at Pine Creek. Not only do you get zero cell phone service while you’re enjoying a delicious dinner, but the overall experience is one for the record books.
As far as shopping, you can literally walk around the entire town of Aspen in a day. You’ll find Intermix, Club Monaco and J.Crew sprinkled between higher end stores like Gucci, Burberry and Dior.
