Between traveling with family and friends, along with various work trips for my blog, it had been quite some time since Grant and I snuck off just us two. Marigot Bay Resort has been on my radar of “must see places” for the past year. After their amazing PR team reached out, I had put it on my back burner as a possible option for us to escape to. Because I was already going to New York for a project last week, we spontaneously organized a getaway over the weekend.
First of all, the nonstop flight from JFK to St. Lucia is only 4 hours! I was a little nervous about the weather, but we were pleasantly surprised to have beautiful sunshine and warm skies. This trip was truly what the doctor ordered! I tucked my phone away for the first half of the trip to enjoy a {much needed} mini digital detox and dive into a few books I’ve been wanting to read.
On our first day, we went snorkeling and snuggled up on Sugar Beach to soak in some sun. We had a really fun dinner at the Marigot Bay Resort Grill and shared one of the best bottles of red wine & pasta I’ve ever had. The entire staff at this hotel was so incredibly nice and don’t even get me started on our room! The views don’t get much better and we had our own private deck with a hot tub where we took a dip every night, star gazing and talking about life. On our last night, the Marigot Bay Resort organized a private tree house dinner for 2. Yes, I said tree house! I only wish I could have gotten photos of this amazing experience but it was too dark for my camera {lit by candles}. We had an entire 5 course dinner that was specially designed for us by the chef. I am still full just thinking about it!
It’s really hard to force yourself to stop, slow down and just “be.” St. Lucia is definitely one of those places that makes it very easy. Even though our trip was a quick one, I am heading home feeling rejuvenated and happy.

On our first day the Marigot Resort organized a snorkeling trip. It was the perfect introduction to the island. I only wish that we had told our hosts that we were scuba certified but hey, it's a great excuse to come back!
The tiniest sliver of sand juts out into Marigot Bay called Labas Beach. It is a picture-perfect place for swimming and finding your zen. This is one of those places you can literally sit for hours watching boats drift by.
The view from our incredible room was out of this world! Not only did we have our own private hot tub and huge deck, but it had the best view of Marigot Bay!
A very HUGE thank you to the Marigot Bay Resort for treating us to a lovely vacation!
