My first car was an Audi. I got a dark green A4 just before leaving home for college. I drove it from Texas to Chicago and back again, dozens and dozens of times. My Dad was keen on getting me this car because of its high safety ratings. A few years later when my lease was due I got another Audi A4, this time in tan and this time the car drove me from Chicago to Los Angeles. I’ll never forget that long road trip I made with my best friend Hillary. We got held up in a crazy snow storm in Nebraska for a few days, made a pit stop in Las Vegas and shared dozens of heart to heart talks, laughs and endless amounts of fast food. Hundreds of thousands of miles I have logged in my Audi cars through the years.
When I found myself living Los Angeles, I drove to meet up with a friend at a hotel bar one night where I ended up meeting my husband for the first time. He was driving a Q5 and still does to this day. So, when Audi reached out asking if we wanted to try out their newest Q5, I leapt at the opportunity. I mean, how often do you get to test drive the latest and greatest in the auto industry? My husband was excited to test drive it as well, and while neither of us anticipated any major changes from his 2016 model to the new 2018, we were both floored by the amazing advances Audi has made with their new Q5. My favorite thing was the speedometer that the driver can see on the glass of the window, just above the steering wheel. It felt so futuristic! I also loved the huge sunroof that continues through the backseat above the passengers, which allows everyone to take in panoramic views. It was surprising how much smoother the drive felt and the advances in technology were very obvious. Everything was fully digital and the navigation was built with GoogleMaps {which I loved!}.

Special thank you to Audi for partnering on this post
