Outfits 8 years ago Slum Love Sweaters
Several years ago I went to Africa a few times to volunteer with the Baird Family’s organization called the New Hope Initiative. It has been so wonderful to see the Slum Love Sweater Company evolve into a full functioning and fashionable clothing brand.
Slum Love Sweaters are made in Nairobi, Kenya and provide a living wage for the women who made them. After seeing these women first hand and the amazing difference this work makes in their lives, I couldn’t be more proud to wear their products. Not only are the women being supported, but Slum Love also takes a part of the profits from their sales to provide funds for high school scholarships to children living in one of the world’s largest slums, Kibera.
