There’s no place like going home for the holidays. After William passed away, I was feeling anxious about leaving Polly behind for Christmas. I was very relieved when my therapist filled out the necessary paper work for her to fly with us as an ESA pup. It was a bit stressful for us parents, but Polly flew like a pro and before we knew it we were in Taft, Texas with the entire family enjoying lots of Whataburger, conversations by the Christmas tree and warm snuggles with my Polly girl.

Taft is a very simple place so when it comes to packing, I keep things simple with easy layering and comfortable flats. Here are a few photos from my trip.
