My skin this summer has been feeling off. I don’t know if it’s the crazy fires in LA or just the pollution in general, but my face feels grainy and unbalanced. So, over the weekend I focused on testing out a couple new face masks and narrowed it down to a few favorites.
What’s your favorite mask?
After any mud peel or heavy mask that might dry out my skin, I am obsessed with Erno Laszlo’s White Marble Sheet Masks. They are super super hydrating and literally act as a moisturizing sheet for your face {see me wearing it in the above photo}.
The Murad Oil-Control Mask is very light, very airy and will draw out any oil you have on your face. I have a very oily forehead so I focused mine on this target area which worked out nicely.
The Bobbi Brown Radiance Boost Mask did exactly what it promises: Boosts! This particular mask feels like a strong mask {doesn’t that make sense?} in that you can feel the grains working against your skin to remove dead skin cells and offer microcirculation.
It’s no secret that I love La Mer which is why this mask made the cut. This is my favorite to carry on a long flight because it’s light and no too intense.
The Helena Rubinstein Powercell Mask is a newbie that I scooped up at the Hong Kong airport when I was flying home. It’s similar to the La Mer mask but more gel-like in texture.
And last but definitely not least, the Skin Ceuticals Clarifying Clay Masque is amazing for a long soak in the tub. It’s a bit heavier and harder to get off that the La Mer and Helena Rubinstein so I wouldn’t suggest it for an airplane, but you should definitely give this one a go for a deep clean at home.
